Chlorella
Supplements
Chlorella is green algae that helps to support the healthy
function of the digestive, circulatory and pulmonary
systems.
Chlorella is believed to be one of the most healthy
substances on earth, containing a host of vitamins, minerals
and nutrients. Chlorella is also one of nature's most
nutritious substances, containing large amounts of vitamins A
and B12, iron, zinc, copper and a host of other vitamins and
minerals.
Chlorella has been used to sustain healthy lung
function and substantially increase one's resistance to cold
and flu. Chlorella is truly one of nature's great gifts,
providing essential vitamins and nutrients, as well as
promoting the healthy function of nearly all the body's
systems. It is also rich in Chlorophyll, is a type of
single-cell green algae. Chlorella contains high levels of
protein, iron, vitamins C and B12, beta-carotene, and 19 amino
acids. Chlorella supplements may be useful for
detoxifying the body and liver, and boosting immune system
function.
There are no known drug interactions with the use of
Chlorella supplements. Usual dosage for disease prevention is
10 grams per day, with a maintenance dose of 5 grams per day.
Chlorella supplements have become a source of biological
essentials like vitamins, and chlorophyll. Chlorella
supplements can speed up the rate of cleansing of the bowel,
bloodstream and liver, by supplying plenty of chlorophyll.
Chlorophyll is effective in detoxifying the liver and
bloodstream, cleansing the bowel and feeding the friendly bowel
flora. Iron is more easily absorbed from the bowel in the
presence of chlorophyll. Chlorella (containing chlorophyll) is
an algae plant coming from fresh water areas. This food
containing a wide variety of vitamins, minerals and enzymes
will provide you with a complete package of nutrients and
vitamins needed by the body. Chlorella is the richest natural
source of chlorophyll. Chlorella is a raw whole food.
The liquid form of Chlorella provides about one percent
chlorophyll, while the amount found in other foods is less than
half of one percent. Some studies show that Chlorella can help
protect the liver, clean the bloodstream, balance blood sugar
levels, build up the immune system, and heal wounds. Chlorella
is 50 to 60% protein, is the highest source of chlorophyll and
also contains iron, iodine, zinc and lysine. It contains more
Vitamin B-12 than beef liver: this vitamin is often lacking in
many vegetarian diets. They are highly nutritious, and a rich
source of chlorophyll. The cell wall in this high quality
Chlorella has been broken down mechanically to aid
digestibility. Other sources of chlorophyll are barley juice,
wheat-grass juice, and spirulina (available at
most health food stores).
The Chlorophyll content of China Chlorella is 2%-3%, which
is higher than any other known plant source. China Chlorella
also contains 76ppm (parts per million) of Germanium. It
contains a high density of chlorophyll, nucleic acids, amino
acids, enzymes, vitamins and minerals. This is why it is called
a "super green food.". Chlorophyll was given its name from the
Greek chloros, meaning "yellowish-green," and it's the chemical
that gives plants their green color. However, chlorophyll's
function in nature is much more important than coloration
alone. It would be difficult to say that chlorophyll is any
better or worse than other herbs such as curcumin, mangosteen,
garlic, pomegranate, etc. They each have their benefit and
alternating their use is one option. It also contains a large
percentage of chlorophyll, which is essential for aiding
digestion, cleansing the bowels and purifying blood. Studies in
Asia and elsewhere have shown that Chlorella has a positive
effect on liver function.
Furthermore, some studies have reported that the fiber and
chlorophyll contained within chlorella cells are effective in
the removal of toxins which promotes improved bowel health.
Thus, when detoxification, bowel cleansing, immune support and
basic health maintenance are desired, chlorella preparations
may be advantageously employed. Spirulina and Chlorella are
excellent sources of chlorophyll, but that is like saying that
garlic is a good source of fatty acids. Garlic has a vast array
of incredible health properties beyond simply being a good
source of fatty acids and so is true of spirulina and
chlorella. For most people the aroma and taste of Chlorella
Algae powder is neither unpleasant or objectionable, but it
does have a strong green taste owing to the its high
chlorophyll content. But individual taste preferences, likes
and dislikes, do vary.
Chlorella supplements are believed, by some, to be
therapeutic for cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, and
fibromyalgia. Although chlorophyll can be found in
topical formulations for external use, it is more widely
available as a nutritional supplement for internal use, and
chlorella supplements are among the more popular options for
that purpose.
